Project Coordinator

Job Description:

The Allentown Blueprint Communities Leadership Team is seeking a part-time project coordinator to help launch and implement the innovative Allentown Blueprint Communities project. The Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh supports the Allentown Blueprint Communities initiative to enable community teams in targeted districts to develop strategies, plans, and activities to revitalize their neighborhoods. The Allentown team will prioritize community engagement through neighborhood participation to upgrade the housing stock, create and preserve healthy and affordable housing, and activate public spaces. The project coordinator we are looking for must be familiar with Allentown, bilingual English/Spanish, and passionate about the values of economic opportunity, equality, and social justice.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain four committee lists. Provide written notice of meetings and reminders to committee members. Coordinate, schedule, and attend all meetings. Provide status updates.

  • Record committee meeting activity by taking minutes and uploading them to the shared site.

  • Support each of the project teams by maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, outcomes and achievements, and workplan milestones.

  • Prepare committee budgets and keep track of expenditures for the fiscal agent’s representative.

  • Attend all community activities sponsored by Allentown Blueprint Communities. Capture activities through digital photographs.

  • Organize project-related documents and electronic files. Ensure notes and photographs are properly labeled, filed, and stored.

  • Monitor activities, tasks, and resources among the four committees to ensure the growth and success of the Allentown Blueprint Community project.

Qualifications:

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with strong written, verbal and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work remotely without direct supervision.

  • Experience in project coordination, scheduling, and working as part of a team.

  • Proficient in computer use, including basic office software, such as Microsoft Office. Access to a mobile phone with experience taking digital photographs. Access to a personal computer with reliable internet service.

  • Familiarity with the City of Allentown, particularly the Allentown Blueprint Communities footprint area.

  • Bilingual Spanish/English – ability to read, write and speak in both languages.

Work Hours:

Must have access to reliable transportation and flexible schedule to attend weekday committee meetings (may include evenings) in the Allentown Blueprint Community area. Must also be available to attend occasional weekend activities in Allentown. Complete other work assignments remotely using a personal mobile phone and a personal computer.

Wage: $25 per hour, no benefits

Contract period: November 2024 - March 2025, approximately 20 hours per week. Total of 400 hours.
